Speech Therapy
Speech therapy helps
- In increasing spontaneous communication
- To improve peer interactions
- To improve social skills that may allow them to play with others and follow directions
- To increase understanding of words which will allow them to ask for help, ask and answer questions, take turns in conversation and start or stop a conversation
- To improve clarity in speech
- In feeding children having chewing and swallowing problems
At Sankalp, Speech therapy is not bound inside the therapy room. We work on generalising the skills taught during individual therapy session in the classroom and other environment in the school. Parents are an integral part of therapy sessions enabling them to work on the same goals at home.
